Ah, Southeast Asia. Where the best street food often comes with the most, shall we say, “interesting” fashion choices by the cooks. We’re talking Hello Kitty tees, questionable stains, and the occasional outfit held together by hope and a prayer.
This week’s contender in the “Hawker Haute Couture” hall of fame comes from a viral Facebook post.
Enter our fearless leader: a seasoned cook sporting a very generously ripped white t-shirt.

So ripped, in fact, it left more to the imagination than a Rorschach test. Gloves? Who needs gloves when you’ve got seasoned experience (and questionable hygiene standards, judging by the state of his workstation).
Gordon Ramsay would have a meltdown on the spot. But hey, at least the cook’s got his own unique style, right?
Now, here’s the plot twist that’ll leave you scratching your head faster than a wok full of noodles.
Furthermore, some eagle-eyed fashionistas online noticed a striking resemblance between the cook’s “shirt” and a certain Balenciaga number.
Yes, you read that right. Balenciaga. The luxury brand known for pushing fashion boundaries.
Additionally, this very Balenciaga “Oberteil” line features similar artful tears and retails for a hefty HKD 7768.50 (around RM4745).
What do you think did our cook have a hidden stash of designer threads, or did he just get a little too enthusiastic with the scissors?
One thing’s for sure, this hawker has unintentionally become the talk of the town (and maybe the target of the fashion police).
